Russia’s consulting market suffered another bad year. The dire economic situation--with low oil prices, Western sanctions, and a collapse in the value of the rouble all playing a role—made for an extremely challenging environment, and the consulting market shrank 13.7% to a value of just €450m. These economic woes featured heavily in our conversations with consultants in Russia, with some holding out hope that a significant boost in oil prices could bring about some much-needed relief.
