Cindy is currently the Chief Marketing Officer/Global Lead for Engagement & Eminence at the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV), IBM's thought leadership think tank. Each year the IBV produces more than 100 research reports, insights and briefings covering multiple technologies, geographies and roles, including the current CEO’s guide to generative AI series, and the influential annual C-suite series. The IBV’s thought leadership is regularly featured in business media such as Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, along with recent features in Bangkok Post, Sydney Morning Herald, Yicai, Globe & Mail and multiple technology media outlets.
Cindy has co-authored research reports on Women in Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion, and COVID-19, and has co-published two articles in Strategy & Leadership: How business is adapting to COVID, and Are post-COVID return-to-growth plans gaining priority over transformation? Cindy was featured in a cover story on “Delivering a Winning Strategy” in World Finance (Winter 2019). She presented workshops at TEDWomen 2017 and 2019, and has delivered presentations on thought leadership, strategy implementation, project management, and technology to global audiences. She is currently co-authoring a book on the value of thought leadership, expected to be published in 2024.
Prior to joining the IBV in 2020, she served as Vice President of Brand Management for the Project Management Institute (PMI) for nearly seven years. While there, she was a founder of the Brightline® Initiative (video explainer), and introduced other brand concepts such as: The Project Economy, PMI Talent Triangle, PMI Value Delivery Landscape, and Office of Strategy Delivery. She built PMI’s Pulse of the Profession® concept from a one-study report to a comprehensive thought leadership platform.
